Turner Falls Family Trip

Last week the 3 of us went for two nights to Turner Falls OK for a little family trip. We stayed in a cabin and explored the area. We had an awesome time at Arbuckle Wilderness Park where you drive thru to see and feed the wild animals. A few animals were fenced in for protection, but lots of animals came right up to our car to get some breakfast. The camels and emus were especially friendly ! They kept sticking their heads in our windows and some of them chased us as we drove away. While getting a picture of 4 camels at our window at one time (with the window half rolled up for the time being) a camel stuck his head in the opposite window and startled Luke pretty bad. He had a dirty cheek after that, so we are pretty sure he got a "kiss". He was fine, but we were all looking out the other window so he crept in on us and scared us ! To add to matters, there was a turtle crossing the road, so David was caught trying to "save" his son and avoid running over the turtle while driving away from the camels. At the gift shop, we just had to get Luke a stuffed camel to remind us all of our adventure.
Later on we went to Chickasaw National park and hike and swam in the mineral water creeks and waterfalls. It was toooo cold for Mommy ! But the boys had fun swimming and splashing in the water. Luke even made a friend who shared his toys in the water. We also had fun making Luke his first s'more at our campfire that night. It was a nice getaway for us, and definately will go back again one day.

Your trip sounds like so much fun! We drive by the Arbuckle Wilderness park everytime we visit my parents, and I have always wanted to stop and see the animals. Sounds like a neat experience!
